BEIC joins BASIC Biogas as full partner

BASIC Biogas (Baltic Sea Innovation Cluster on Biogas) is a collaborative effort to reduce the eutrophication of the Baltic Sea.

Anaerobic digestion of maritime substrates in combination with digistate utilization is a way to physically remove phosphorus and nitrogen from the sea and at the same time remove the inconveniences with rottening seaweed on the beaches, produce energy and increase prosperity in coastal regions.

Partners from Denmark, Germany, Lithuania, Poland and Sweden will apply to the South Baltic Sea Programme for the establishment of the Baltic Sea Innovation Cluster on Biogas. Sweden will be represented by the Baltic Energy Innovation Centre, BEIC.
