The Baltic Energy Innovation Centre was founded on the 12th of July 2017 by Institute for Biogas, Waste Management & Energy, Lithuanian Energy Institute and Renewable Energy Technology International AB. The Baltic Energy Innovation Centre is a non-profit research organisation participating in national and international R&DD activities focused on innovative energy technology in general, and renewable methane related development in particular. The establishment of the Baltic Energy Innovation Centre was made possible through financial support by the Swedish Institute.

BioGenGas Innovation Cluster and CarbonNeutralLNG Symposium on Methanation and liquefaction as part of REGATEC 2025! 11th International Conference on Renewable Energy Gas Technology, REGATEC 2024, takes place on the 20-21 May in Weimar, Germany. The first day is dedicated to biogas and green LPG as part of the BioGenGas conference and the second day is dedicated to methanation and liquefaction as part of the CarbonNeutralLNG project. New project July 2024! LoCaGas is an Interreg South Baltic project related to green power production using landfill gas with low methane content and other low calorific energy gases.
